Thorfinnur Gudnason i Andri Snaer Magnason
Iceland 2009 89'

Dreamland is a film about the exploitation of natural resources in Iceland and demonstrates that clean energy does not come without consequence. Iceland is a country blessed with an abundance of clean, renewable, hydro-electric and geothermal energy. Because Iceland produces more green energy than it needs heavy industry has been moving into the country and companies like Alcoa have been building aluminium smelters. Clean energy brings in polluting industry. Dreamland tells the story of a nation with abundance of choices gradually becoming caught up in a plan to turn its beautiful wilderness into a massive system of hydro-electric and geothermal power plants with dams and reservoirs.
