12th April 1961 - Yuri Gagarin is about to see what no other person has ever seen in the history of mankind: the Earth, from outer space.
What will the first cosmonaut see in silence as he navigates above the earth? What will he feel when he sees the oceans and the continents from space?
Fifty years later, the European Space Agency and the crew of Expedition 26/27 made the same journey, capturing the experience in high definition.
Combining the newly recorded images with the footage of Gagarin and the music of Philip Sheppard, we will embark on a journey around the world from outer space.
Come along and join us!
