Memorimage Reus 2010. Today’s Films with Yesterday’s Images will be hosting a professional conference that aims to explore the issue of working with archival footage and to promote interaction among professionals within the audiovisual archive sector.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The conference targets professionals who work in the audiovisual archive field, documentary filmmakers, directors, producers, archivists, production and documentation professionals who work for production companies, television channels, film libraries, specialised image centres, curators, heritage recovery experts, and professionals specialised in image rights and usage.

9:45 – 10:00 am Opening of the CENTRE DE LA IMATGE MAS IGLESIAS DE REUS (CIMIR, Mas Iglesias Image Centre, in Reus) and tour of the facility.
10:00 – 10:15 am Welcome, given by Empar Pont, Town Councillor and Head of the Department of Culture, Reus.
10:15 – 11:30 am Round-table discussion: "The audiovisual legacy: a heritage to be conserved. What are we doing?"
Presentation of the general debate and the lines of action of the following bodies:
- Catalan Government (Mr. Enric Cobo, General Coordinator of Archives)
- Film Library of Catalonia (Mr. Esteve Riambau, Director)
- Televisió de Catalunya (Ms. Alícia Conesa, Head of the Documentation Department)
- OPATL – Permanent Observatory for Archives and Local Television (Mr. Joan Boadas)
NOTE: Unfortunately, the representatives of the INA won't be able to make it to the round-table as we had previously published.

Seating limit: 30 participants.
*NOTE: This fee includes the conference breakfast and lunch, as well as a ticket for admission to all of the festival’s screenings (tickets may be picked up at the festival office as of Wednesday 10 November).
Lectures are mainly in Catalan.
