The fundamental aim of the Memorimage Festival is to accommodate a type of film that is on the rise yet has not yet found its niche in the festival circuit. A jury of renowned media professionals and archivists will evaluate the quality and skill with which these productions have incorporated archival imagery into narrative discourse.
CIUTAT DE REUS AWARD
Award to the best film in the Official Section. An award of 4.000€ donated by the Reus City Council to the film director.
WINNER: Of Time and City by Terence Davies
MEMORIMAGE AWARD
Award to the best production. An award of 3.000€.
* This award is applicable to all the films screened at the Festival but those that have been either broadcasted or commercially released in Spain.
WINNER: Cooking History by Peter Kerekes
MEMORIAL DEMOCRÀTIC AWARD
Award to the film that best advocates for the recovery of the Spanish historical memory, the fight for democratic freedom, and against Francoism during the period between 1931 and 1980. An award of 3.000€ donated by the organization Memorial Democràtic.

WINNER: La batalla de la memòria by Mario Pons Múria
CINEMA RESCAT AWARD
Award to the best research work of 1.000€, donated by the Association Cinema Rescat to the researcher.
*This award is applicable to all the films screened at the Festival but those that have been either broadcasted or commercially released in Spain.
WINNER: Barraques, la ciutat oblidada by Sara Grimal and Alonso Carnicer
PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
Award to the best film chosen by popular vote of 1.000€ for the film director. The audiences attending the Festival will decide on the winner by simple majority vote.
